Film is a collaborative art form. During the making of a film, the creativity of many will give birth to a single piece of work. This process can be smooth and inspiring, and at other times full of struggles. What is necessary for the collaboration to flow in a way that will give a boost to everyone involved and help create a stronger story for the screen, and what could be done to avoid tensions and conflicts that may end up undermining the whole project?

The second screenwriting conference organised by the Estonian Screenwriters Guild will take place on April 3rd and 4th, 2020 at the Estonian Film Museum. The topic of this year’s conference is Creative Collaboration – between screenwriters and producers, between screenwriters and directors, and between screenwriters themselves (such as in a writers’ room). We will discuss various experiences, approaches, giving and receiving feedback, work environment, and together try to find the answer(s) for the best way to work with creatives or for creatives (of different fields) to work together.

DAY 1
On the main day of the conference there will be speakers and panels with guests from Estonian as well as abroad. We will start introducing our speakers and guests soon.

Day 2
Workshops and masterclasses. TBA
